Andrea Seibel
Born on June 12, 1958 in Hamm am Rhein. From 1977 she studied German Language and Literature, History and Political Sciences at the Free University of Berlin. After earning her MA degree she went straight into journalism, where she had been volunteering during her studies.
From 1982 - 1995 she was part of the alternative daily die tageszeitung, one of the few newly founded papers in postwar Germany (travel section, foreign desk, op-ed, review of books).
1995 - 1997 she was foreig affairs editor at Die Wochenpost, an east-western weekly.
Since 1998 she is with Die Welt. After four years as editor for the op-ed pages she serves as deputy editor-in-chief since 2003.
Since 2015: Head of Forum Die WeltN24 in Berlin.
